Crim Out Sooner: Police Fury |
|
Tasmania's Police union is horrified a Hobart crook who shot at a policewoman in 2010 has had his prison term reduced on appeal. Supreme Court judges have reduced 28 year old Kingston man Rodney Gene Crosswell's sentence from 10.5 years to eight...he'll be up for parole after five. Crosswell fired a double barrelled sawnoff at Constable Holly Dillon on the Brooker Highway as she laid road spikes in a bid to stop his speeding car. He later robbed a newsagency and then escaped from Risdon Prison. Sergeant Randolph Weirenga from the Police Association says he can't believe it.
