Variety – the Children’s Charity supports children and families facing challenges related to illness, disadvantage, or living with additional needs.
Through their work, children gain mobility, engage with their communities, communicate effectively, achieve independence, and build self-esteem. Variety ensures that no child misses out and that every child can participate fully.
7HOFM has proudly partnered with Variety for the past four years and is committed to supporting this incredible charity for years to come. Every child deserves a fair go.

Little Steps Charity Home

Little Steps Charity Home has officially SOLD!
We are incredibly proud to share that the Little Steps Charity House has sold under the hammer for an outstanding $770,000.
This is more than a sale result. It’s a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together with purpose.
Every dollar raised will help Variety – the Children’s Charity Tasmania, Starlight Children’s Foundation and The Smith Family support children across Tasmania to live without limits.
This project would not have been possible without the leadership and generosity of SJM Property Developments, and an extraordinary network of trades, suppliers and contractors who gave their time, skills and materials to bring this home to life.
Everyone’s contribution has created something truly special and your impact will be felt by children and families right across our state.
Together, they have helped build more than a house. They have helped build brighter futures!
House of Hope Charity Home

House of Hope is a powerful community-driven project that brings people together to build something bigger than a home. Delivered through the generosity Lyden Builders and Rogerson & Birch Surveyors, along with dozens of local businesses who donate materials, time and expertise. Once completed the sale of this house will raise vital funds for Variety – the Children’s Charity Tasmania and Cancer Council Tasmania’s Rachel & Jye Fund to help support Tasmanian children who are sick, disadvantaged or living with additional needs, along with families facing childhood cancer. More than a build, House of Hope is a shared commitment to care, connection and creating brighter futures for kids across our state.

Saturday 17th – Thursday 22 October 2026
The Variety Bash is the largest and longest running Australian charity motoring event! The Variety Bash is often imitated, but never bettered! It’s not a race or a rally, it’s a fun and social motoring event. In the words of the original “Basher” Dick Smith, it’s ‘a drive in the outback with a few mates’.
The Variety Bash is a once in a lifetime chance to experience remote and regional parts of Australia that you might not otherwise see, all in support of kids in need.
Entrants get to visit local towns, stopping into schools and organisations to visit Variety kids.
Bashers get to see the direct impact of their fundraising efforts along the way, with a range of educational, health and mobility equipment provided to local schools and organisations en route.
