Wrest Point Sandy Bay Regatta

It’s wonderful day of activities on the water and affordable family fun and entertainment on land!

Come and celebrate The Sandy Bay Regatta’s amazing history and community spirit!

On water activities start with the Dragon Boats and Outrigger Canoes 9am! Have a go in the Novice ocean swims for adults and for kids – there’s great prizes to be won, or if you’ve ever wanted to try sailing or Outrigger Canoeing – come along and try it – its free!

The kids will love face painting, the Henna artist and Cartoonist – there’s even crazy bikes – as well as traditional games, a Pie Eating and Blundstone Boot throwing competitions as well as the Junior Miss Regatta Girl and Best Dressed Aussie events 2026.

On the main stage the City of Hobart Citizenship Ceremony is from 10.30 to 11.45am.

Throughout the day there will be free music and entertainers, great food options and plenty of laughs to be had!

Tassie Devils’ football club Mascot Rumm’un will be making appearances during the day!
