7HOFM has been recognised for its ongoing support of Variety Tasmania with an International Presidential Award. The prize was handed over at Saturday night’s Variety of Chefs Gala – which saw the charity raise $151,000 for its work with Tasmanian kids.
Variety Tasmania CEO Mohammad Aldergham said the funds would make a tangible difference at a time when more families are turning to Variety for help.
“Saturday night showed just how powerful the Tasmanian community can be when people come together for a shared purpose.”
The event featured a four-course menu from chefs Paul Foreman, Karen Jones of Derwent Estate, Luciano Pasa of Wrest Point and Stefan Schröeder of Mures Tasmania, as well as performances from young Tasmanian artists Lily Gatehouse and Morgan Bannister, alongside the Royal Australian Navy Band Tasmania.
