Tasmania Police say a 26 year old man has been charged after he allegedly threatened another person with a firearm in a reserve at Kingston last night.
It’s alleged the incident occurred at 5.40pm when a man was walking through Hawthorn Reserve, and was approached by two men and struck with a stick. Around half an hour after that, it’s alleged the same victim was there with two companions when they were confronted by three people, including the same alleged offender, where it’s alleged he hit one victim in the ace and threatened them with what’s believed to be a firearm.
The 26 year old alleged offender is charged with aggravated assault and common assault and will front the Hobart Magistrates Court on August 26.
