Local Tasmanian couple, Michelle and Graham Cowie, are celebrating 12 years in the Battery World family in 2022. The couple are well known throughout Tassie for their simple philosophy. “We are problem solvers first and foremost,” says Graham. “Our staff will welcome you from the moment you start a conversation with us and will work with you to solve your problem.”

Our staff are dedicated, local battery experts and work together to bring you the simplicity you are looking for in such a specialised area. Our team will provide you with honest advice. “If you don’t need a battery, we won’t sell you one!” To back this up we have specialty testing equipment and can test almost every type of battery for you.

As a family man, Graham understands we are all trying to get more out of our devices so can source batteries for almost everything on the market – from your older model mobile phone to the very latest in remote control shutters and blinds. Needless to say our team are quick to help you with caravan, camping and marine needs to keeping your laptop and mobile power charged. We also stock, or have access to, a range of solar and lithium options.

We provide niche services to a wide range of the business community with specialised battery packs, UPS systems and an almost unlimited range of other power solutions is available. We provide purpose specific batteries to Emergency Services, Government Departments and both small and large businesses throughout Tasmania. We have a variety of delivery options available to service the entire State so welcome enquiries whether you’re in beautiful Stanley, our gorgeous East Coast, down South – or anywhere in between!

We pride ourselves on giving you, our customer, good old fashioned service.

Not to mention, Battery World Hobart provides a 24-hour roadside service (within a radius of the store) and will happily take in your old lead batteries for recycling from cars and trucks etc.
