Flamin’ Franko
IT’S A FRANKO WITH THE HEAT TURNED UP TO MAX
We’re firing up Franklin Square, and stretching our legs into the nearby carpark, for Tasmania’s only dedicated Barbecue Festival.
Smoked and grilled, low-n-slow or charcoal seared, this is a two day feast cooked over flame and coals.
Tasmanian meats and seafood are the main events, with a side plate of awesome savoury, veg and dessert stalls. Damn fine local brews, wines and cocktails wash it all down, of course!
A massive 18 hours of rolling live music over the two days, from bangin’ interstate acts to local bands and DJs.
Kick back in the new Rancho Relaxo, there’s bean bags aplenty to go round!
SMOKE SISTERS + BARBEQUE BARONS UNITE
Flamin’ Franko is a weekend showcase of Tassie’s barbecue experts, slow smokin’ heroes and grill geeks.
It’s a celebration of the eclectic meaning of barbeque and the dishes that go with it. Work your way around unique cuisines from American style to Tex Mex. Balinese, to Thai, Fillipino and Vietnamese.
Wood smoked, flame grilled, low-n-slow or charcoal seared, it’s all about cooking with the magic of fire. A celebration of Tasmanian meats, from the land and the sea.
