Male injured after confrontation outside Ulverstone property
The driver who hit one of a group of three people allegedly entering his Main Street property in Ulverstone will not be charged.
Tasmania Police says he'd been heading out to work at around 5.30 this morning when he saw the trio with backpacks and dark clothing acting suspiciously, then turned back to his home to check.
As he drove towards them, one in the group was struck in the drive-way and is being treated in the North West Hospital for a broken leg.
He will be spoken to after he gets out of surgery this afternoon.
Police say the two males who fled the scene have not been identified, although property was dropped by the group as they fled which may lead to identification.
Authorities are appealing to anyone who saw the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Main Street Ulverstone around the time.
