There have been more than 2100 calls to the RSPCA’s animal cruelty hotline in the 12 months to July.

It comes after greyhound trainer Anthony Bullock’s license was suspended in response to drone footage of dogs out in the cold without bedding at his Exeter kennels.
RSPCA CEO Jan Davis says the Society has launched its own investigation alongside another being conducted by the State’s Office of Racing Integrity.
Ms Davis says seizing the dogs is unlikely.
“We do have the right to remove the animals if we feel that they’re at risk; at this point in time we’re not there yet,” she said.
“There’s a logistics consideration too, I have nowhere to put them if we did remove them, we’re talking about 90 dogs.”
