A piece of Tasmania’s history is up for grabs – if you’ve got a spare $12 million.

Tarraleah was established in the 1930s by the Hydro Electric Commission, with family houses built to attract skilled workers to one of Australia’s first hydroelectric schemes.

In 2006, the estate underwent a multi-million dollar refurbishment, and has since been operating as a tourist accommodation destination.

The 147 hectare property is now on the market, with expressions of interest closing Friday 17th February.
