Two drivers have had their cars seized after being detected hooning and doing burnouts in Pontville last Saturday.

One driver has had his vehicle clamped for 3 months and the second driver has had his car seized indefinitely due to his previous offending history.

“Tasmania Police will not tolerate this unsafe behaviour on our roads,” said Inspector Kathy Bennett.

“Police will continue to be proactive in keeping our roads safe and we encourage the community to help us by reporting hooning.”

“If you have dash cam footage or other evidence of this type of driving behaviour, you can upload it to our dangerous driving portal and it will be investigated.

“If you see dangerous driving and can report it at the time, phone police straight away on 131 444.

“Information can also be provided to Crime Stoppers, and you can stay anonymous.”
