Launceston CIB Detectives have arrested and charged a 44-year-old Mowbray man in relation to a serious assault that occurred on Friday.
It’s alleged during the assault a male victim was struck several times to the head with a hammer and received serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The 44-year-old man was charged with one count of causing Grievous Bodily Harm and has been detained to appear in an out of hours sitting at the Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
