A tourist has now been missing in Tasmania for more than two weeks.

Western District Police are searching the Philosopher Falls Track area near Waratah for missing Belgian woman Celine Cremer who’s not contacted family or friends.

Police say contact was lost on the 12th, but Celine’s sister Amelie has told social media they last heard from her on Friday the 16th.

“Breaking news, she was on a road trip to Tasmania before joining Melbourne via Ferry on June 21, 2023 aboard her vehicle (a white Honda CRV registered ‘E40TF’),” said Ms Cremer.

“None of these contacts have been updated since June 16th and they are not locable [sic].”

The family has now lodged a concern for welfare report for the 31-year-old who was last seen in Hobart.

The missing woman’s car has been found in the track’s carpark and search and rescue officers are combing the heavily rainforested area with the help of a drone.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who’s been in the carpark since the 12th who may have noticed the vehicle there.
