Tassie’s cruise season underway

Tasmania’s cruise season is underway after the Pacific Adventure visited Hobart on Wednesday.

The ship brought up to 3000 passengers and 1100 crew to Tasmania, the first of 155 visits booked for Tassie ports for 2023-24.

Hobart is expecting another 82 visits while there are also 39 booked for Burnie and 23 for Port Arthur, along with a handful for Coles Bay, Bell Bay and King Island.

“We will be welcoming the Disney-owned Disney Wonder for the first time, which has eight calls booked between October 2023 and February 2024. Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady will also visit for the first time with 13 calls booked for Hobart (eight) and Burnie (five) between December 2023 and March 2024,” said Tasports CEO Anthony Donald.

“We also actively support the regional dispersal of visitors and the associated benefits they deliver to the state’s regional areas.”
