Following investigation into a wounding incident in Brisbane Street, Launceston yesterday afternoon, police have charged a 17 year old male youth with the following
· Wounding x 1
· Possess dangerous article in a public place (knife)

The youth was detained and will appear at an out of hours court this morning, Launceston Magistrates Court, Youth Justice Division .
Police would like to thank the members of the public that assisted with this matter.
