SA woman sexually assaulted in her home
An Adelaide woman has been left traumatised after she was woken by a stranger sexually assaulting her.
The woman was asleep in her Seaford Meadows home just before 1:30am on Saturday when she was woken by the male intruder.
She chased him from her home and then contacted police, who were unable to find him.
The victim's purse, mobile phone and personal items had also been stolen during the attack.
Detective Chief Inspector Ian Humby said the victim had been "very traumatised" by the seemingly random attack.
"There is nothing linked to this at all ... it's very disturbing," he told reporters.
He urged the offender - described as about 170cm tall, with a muscular build and short thick hair, and wearing a blue or black T-shirt at the time - to "do the decent thing and come and talk to police".
