A public relations drive by Facebook has hit an awkward juncture, with the social media giant potentially in hot water for breaching quarantine.

Clark Independent Andrew Wilkie says he's been sent a promotional floral arrangement which breached Tasmania's strict biosecurity laws.

He's posted - on Facebook, of course - that he's tipped off Biosecurity Tasmania to potential breaches at the offices of other Federal MPs and Senators.
