Smoke cancels flights
Flights between Melbourne and Tasmania are being affected by bushfire smoke from Victoria for a second day.
A Qantas service into Hobart was cancelled this morning while this afternoon's TigerAir flight has been delayed.
Jetstar has also encountered delays between Melbourne and Launceston.
Passengers are urged to check with their airline for updates on their flight status.
Forecasters are predicting a southerly change will blow the smoke away early tomorrow, but for the mean time a road weather alert for poor visibility is current for most of the state.
The smoke which mostly affected the south and west this morning is now making its way north again and particulate levels are rising in areas including Launceston, Exeter, Hadspen and Longford.
