Eddie Munson stole the show
There has been plenty of chatter online about whether one of the most beloved characters from Stranger Things will make a surprise return for the show’s final season.
In Season 4, Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn, became an instant fan favourite thanks to his heavy metal style and Dungeons and Dragons obsession. His heroic sacrifice in the Upside Down left fans heartbroken and desperate for a comeback.
Fans refuse to let Eddie go
After his shocking death, petitions and online campaigns appeared begging the Duffer brothers to bring him back. Joseph Quinn himself added fuel to the fire, teasing in interviews that he “might have that feeling too” when asked if Eddie could return.

Duffer brothers confirm his fate
Sadly for fans, the creators have now confirmed that Eddie’s story has come to an end. Speaking to Empire, Matt Duffer made it clear that Eddie is gone for good. “He’s dead, He’s fully under that ground.”
The final chapter of Hawkins
While that may disappoint die-hard Eddie supporters, the Duffers have promised an emotional final season that will tie up the Hawkins saga once and for all. Other fan favourites, including Eleven, Mike, and Dustin, are set to take centre stage as the Netflix hit reaches its epic conclusion.
