James Hetfield turned 61 this week (August 3rd), and the legendary Metallica frontman celebrated with a hilarious viral video post on his Instagram doing something we’ve all found funny over the years. Inhaling helium and then singing Happy Birthday to himself in a high-pitched voice.
“Hi, everybody. I’m 61. Did you know that?” he says before bursting into a combination of laughter coughing and then singing “Enter Sandman.”

Metallica are touring the States at the moment and James has a film called “The Thicket” coming out soon that also stars Peter Dinklage and Juliette Lewis, check out the trailer here.
