This summer evening soirée on 19 February 2027 brings together Tasmania’s finest distillers, generous gourmet canapés and live music in the stunning Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.
Guest will sip premium gin cocktails crafted by McHenry Distillery, Turner Stillhouse and Callington Mill Distillery with roaming gourmet canapés, roving melodies by the Australian Army Band and all the fun of our live auction and raffle.
All proceeds from the event directly supports Variety Tasmania to help create brighter futures for Tassie kids!

Heart Scholarships
Variety Heart Scholarships
Variety Heart Scholarships help talented young people across Tasmania take their abilities to new heights. With up to $5,000 available per year, these scholarships help remove financial barriers so young people can access coaching, training, equipment and opportunities. If you know a young person aged 8–18 years demonstrating genuine talent and commitment in the field of arts, sport or academics, now is the time to apply or share this opportunity. Applications open 1-31 May 2027.

Little Steps Charity Home has officially SOLD!
We are incredibly proud to share that the Little Steps Charity House has sold under the hammer for an outstanding $770,000.
This is more than a sale result. It’s a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together with purpose.
Every dollar raised will help Variety – the Children’s Charity Tasmania, Starlight Children’s Foundation and The Smith Family support children across Tasmania to live without limits.
This project would not have been possible without the leadership and generosity of SJM Property Developments, and an extraordinary network of trades, suppliers and contractors who gave their time, skills and materials to bring this home to life.
Everyone’s contribution has created something truly special and your impact will be felt by children and families right across our state.

Variety and their energetic partners at All Aerobics Fitness challenge teams to ride as many kilometres as possible on exercise bikes over five action-packed hours. Expect high-energy music, crazy costumes, plenty of friendly competition and a dedicated team of spin instructors keeping everyone motivated from start to finish! There are prizes for the best dressed team and highest fundraisers, plus bragging rights and the coveted Master Spinner Cup for the team that clocks up the most kilometres.
Last July, 18 incredible teams pedalled an astonishing 2,903 kilometres, the equivalent of riding from Hobart to Perth, and raised a record-breaking $69,110 to help Tassie kids.

Variety Monster Bookfair

Variety Tasmania and Shiploads join forces to collect unused books, puzzles, games, CD’s, DVD’s and more. Collection boxes are located at all Shiploads stores state-wide throughout the month of May. The best are sorted and selected to join the Monster Book Fair at PW1 on 3-4 July.
It certainly is a monster weekend of book bargains galore and free family activities including the Sorell School Animal Nursery, roaming characters, balloon art, free craft activities and sausage sizzle. Including a special life broadcast by Hobart’s #1 Breakfast Show team Sarah, Mick and Johnno.

Variety of Chefs brings together the very best our beautiful island has to offer for one unforgettable night of incredible food, fine wine and entertainment. Indulge in a spectacular four-course degustation created by some of Tasmania’s best chefs and perfectly paired with premium Tasmanian wines. Guiding you through the night will be MCs John X and Chef Paul Foreman, joined by 7HOFM’s very own Sarah Morrison.
Expect plenty of laughs, live crosses to the kitchen, a premium live auction featuring some incredible experiences and a fantastic selection of Tasmanian raffle prizes, before the Royal Australian Navy Band Tasmania gets you on the dance floor.
