Latin American ¡Fiesta!
Saturday 16 September and Sunday 17 September
“Administration Building” 2 The Avenue, New Norfolk

Tasmania has so many things to be proud of; we are known as a natural island with great food, great wines and breathtaking scenery. But what about Latin American and Hispanic culture? Well, Mexican restaurants are springing up everywhere, Latin music and dance are filling the airwaves (think of “Despacito”) and now to bring all of those beautiful elements together like an Aztec tapestry is the Latin American ¡Fiesta!

The handful of Spanish speaking migrants in Tasmania would like to invite you to taste Latin culture, cuisine, music and dance. On the 16 & 17th of September, there will be an event that we believe will become a yearly tradition on this island. Starting with a 3-course Dinner at 7 pm on Saturday 16th of September for only $49, to a FREE-entry family day on Sunday 17th of September with food and other stalls including some really cute alpacas for the children to take photos of.

Come for the dinner on Saturday night, bring the family on Sunday or join some of the dance workshops that are presented by “Candela Latin Dance” from Melbourne. They will be teaching: Kizomba, Cuban Salsa and Bachata. See Eventbrite for workshop pricing. Guests from around Tasmania and around Australia will be joining the first “Latin American Fiesta” event
