Cygnet Market

  • Mary Street, Cygnet, Tasmania

The Cygnet market is full of colourful stalls and characters. The stalls range between fresh produce, hot food, gourmet tea and coffee, bric-a-brac, handmade clothing, and local plants.

The market is held on the first and third Sunday of each month for the whole year. In fact, the Cygnet Market is one of only a few markets that go through the winter in the comfort of the locally iconic Town hall complete with live music.

A few times a year we also hold double markets, when we fill two halls with stalls, and even more live music from local musicians. Details can be found at their website.

Their market is growing, from three stalls four years ago, now having about 30 on a regular basis and 60 at the double markets. The market starts at 10am and goes till 2pm allowing ample time to enjoy local eateries before or after, as well as other Huon Valley attractions.

Cygnet is known for its fine fresh food, colourful people with music and art being part of our culture. Come to Cygnet on Market Day and enjoy all the best our vibrant country town has to offer.
